Macbeth Workshops
“Dynamic, engaged, professional. The perfect TIE workshop experience.”
Head of English, Reading School
RABBLE’s dynamic, practical Macbeth workshops are designed to support the learning of English students.
Delivered in your school, the workshop develops understanding, confidence and ability in all students, through practical theatrical exercises, delivered by our experienced professionals.
RABBLE’s workshop is suitable for all learners, no matter their ability or confidence. Students will
- create improvisations based on the play
- stage freeze-frames of horror scenes
- explore iambic pentameter through rhythm-based games
- play lead characters and enact core scenes from the play
- direct our professional actors as they perform Macbeth and Lady Macbeth’s “if we fail” scene
- leave invigorated and inspired
The workshop is aimed at students studying the play at GCSE level, though we can (and regularly do) adapt to younger or older students, or Drama students.
The workshop takes place in your school and sessions run from 2hrs to a full day. They can be adapted to any group size, from a small class to an entire year group.
“It was a gift to the students from our school and gave the students plenty of material to work with”
Head of Drama, Theale Green School
Students will leave feeling confident about;
- The story of the play
- The key characters and their motivations
- Iambic pentameter
- Important scenes and speeches
- Writing about the play
“The RABBLE team did a great job. The students really enjoyed the day and got a lot out of it”
