Storytelling in Sales

RABBLE’s interactive, practical workshop will focus on giving your team the confidence to draw on shared experiences, complement tech talk with humanity and establish meaningful personal connections with your clients.

Overview:

In the session, we start with some warm up games that focus on breaking down barriers and building trust. We’ll explore body language, eye contact and other subliminal techniques that develop trust.

Games and exercises will illuminate what makes us feel part of a story and how trust and emotional connections can be found.

We’ll look at how to use both the space we’re in and the space we’re describing in our story; how to shape a cracking tale, raise the stakes and establish personal connections. Staff will leave with a catalogue of techniques that help audiences (ok, clients) tune into your story and remember your message.

A good story establishes common ground, lays the foundations of shared values and builds personal relationships. Everyone loves a good story and we’d love you to become good storytellers.

“The team had a great day. By the end of the day I had a number of ideas on how I should change my pitch/presentation style and the session has made me reflect on how I deal with criticism and rejection.”

    Julia Montague

With an eclectic background, from British Airways to a successful acting career and voice coaching, Julia went on to complete her NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) journey from Practitioner level through to becoming an NLP Master Coach. She now coaches individuals and teams, combining this knowledge with other coaching models and her own authentic approach.

Over the last fifteen years, Julia has been using these skills, working with businesses from start-ups through to SMEs and Corporate Organisations, more recently working with senior leadership teams at Barclays Bank, Blue Cross Charity and Cisco. She has worked across a wide variety of sectors including Pharmaceutical, Retail, Finance, Telecom, Manufacturing and within the NHS and Civil Service.

Julia has a persistent energy wrapped up with humility and humour that sees her clients ‘safely shake their worlds’ in a space that is fully supported. Stepping out of the comfort zone, using energy, focus and an ability to ‘play’ and be ‘in the moment’ really sees Julia’s approach to coaching and training come to life.

Julia’s real passion lies in her ability to identify how leaders can be even more effective when it comes to delivering their messages with gravitas and impact. Through finding their voice and empowering them to communicate with confidence and presence, Julia’s clients are therefore able to be their most authentic version of themselves. She is always looking to create a truly memorable and alternative approach in her coaching.

Julia works as a trainer, facilitator and coach, as well as a role-play actor. Other recent clients include Red Cross, Astra Zeneca, Merck, Browns Clothing, Leading Sportswear Brand, UK Sport, Nandos, Warwick Business School, Wilson James and Recruit for Spouses.
