The Daily Telegraph Best Theatre of 2023 – Henry I

We are thrilled that our production of Henry I, written by Beth Flintoff, has been declared one of the best UK productions of 2023 in The Daily Telegraph by revered critic, Dominic Cavendish.

For RABBLE to be named in this elite group is deeply meaningful, not just because there are only 9 of us and we receive no core funding, nor because our show cost just under £300,000 (a fraction of the other 4), but because it really was a show that encapsulated the values of our company. It is a relevant feminist play that builds local pride and reflects the diversity of our community.
