How can we keep ourselves well in this chaotic and stressful world? Explore a range of strategies in this practical session, giving you the tools and techniques to support your wellness and resilience, as well as those around you. Mental wellness has never been more important than it is now.

Overview:

 

The word ‘stress’ or feeling ‘overwhelmed’ is something that resonates with the majority of us, to varying degrees. Have you ever found yourself staring at your computer screen wondering how you are going to juggle the multiple tasks that need to get done? What impact does this have on your mental and physical well being?

In this Wellness and Resilience workshop, we will arm you with a plethora of strategies that are simple, quick and easy to embed and use on a daily basis. How good would it feel to know you have a range of ways to deal with your stress levels and help those around you? Building your knowledge leads to a better level of resilience, which has got to be a good thing, right?!

 

The session will cover:

 

  • What is Stress and knowing when and how it can be an issue
  • Successful coping strategies
  • Understand the power of our inner dialogue and how the art of Mindful thinking
  • Breathing techniques- learning how breath can impact our physiology
  • How can nutrition and the food we eat help us in our quest for a more energised and clear approach to the things we do?
  • Resilience and assertiveness- what roles do they play in our wellness?
  • The Drama Triangle and other social interaction models

Meet The Team

Julia Montague

With an eclectic background, from British Airways to a successful acting career and voice coaching, Julia went on to complete her NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) journey from Practitioner level through to becoming an NLP Master Coach. She now coaches individuals and teams, combining this knowledge with other coaching models and her own authentic approach.

Over the last fifteen years, Julia has been using these skills, working with businesses from start-ups through to SMEs and Corporate Organisations, more recently working with senior leadership teams at Barclays Bank, Blue Cross Charity and Cisco. She has worked across a wide variety of sectors including Pharmaceutical, Retail, Finance, Telecom, Manufacturing and within the NHS and Civil Service.

Julia has a persistent energy wrapped up with humility and humour that sees her clients ‘safely shake their worlds’ in a space that is fully supported. Stepping out of the comfort zone, using energy, focus and an ability to ‘play’ and be ‘in the moment’ really sees Julia’s approach to coaching and training come to life.

Julia’s real passion lies in her ability to identify how leaders can be even more effective when it comes to delivering their messages with gravitas and impact. Through finding their voice and empowering them to communicate with confidence and presence, Julia’s clients are therefore able to be their most authentic version of themselves. She is always looking to create a truly memorable and alternative approach in her coaching.

Julia works as a trainer, facilitator and coach, as well as a role-play actor. Other recent clients include Red Cross, Astra Zeneca, Merck, Browns Clothing, Leading Sportswear Brand, UK Sport, Nandos, Warwick Business School, Wilson James and Recruit for Spouses.

Mark Middleton

Mark graduated as a Stage Combat Instructor in 2012 with the Academy of Performance Combat, one of three organisations professionally recognised by Equity. Since then he has Choreographed and Fight Directed a number of shows including Princess Mononoke for Whole Hog Theatre Company and Romeo & Juliet, Henry I for RBL along with Dani Davies.
Mark teaches regularly for West End Workshops, and has taught exam courses at Northampton University and Oxford School of Drama. He also teaches on the Freelance Workshops Residential Summer Course and workshop days and courses for numerous Professional and Amateur Schools and Societies.

Toby Davies

Toby Davies is RABBLE’s Artistic Director and has appeared as Thomas Becket in Henry II, Henry I in Henry I of England, Capulet in Romeo and Juliet and Andy in Off the Block 2015.

He trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (Acting) & St Andrews University (English lit.)
